Dad left for his date with mom on June 1, 2017. Born in Honolulu on April 3, 1923, he retired from the Honolulu Board of Water Supply. Preceded by wife Gertrude Miyoko (Noborikawa), he is survived by children Mona Leigh, Baron John, and Chad Peter. He passed at home with his children at his side, as he had wished. He was grateful to those who showed him kindness throughout his life, including the staff of Islands Hospice at the end. Private services were held on June 13, 2017 at Hosoi Garden Mortuary.
