Predeceased by husband, Jack Katsumi Kawasaki; sister, Patsy Aoyagi and brothers, Takeo, Mitsuo and Yoshihiro Watanabe. 60, of Honolulu Hi, passed away on November 12, 2017. Kathy was an inspiration to all of those whose lives were touched by her. She will live on in our hearts with beautiful memories. She is and will be dearly missed. Her loving, giving, determined spirit, and laughter shared with her friends and family will be cherished. Lillian Yukie Nanbu

At the remarkable age of 100, Lillian Nanbu passed away on November 3, 2017 at her home. She was born on April 27, 1917 in Makaweli, Kauai, and later lived in Lihue and Honolulu. Lillian was a devoted wife and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband, Kiyoshi Nanbu, a decorated veteran of the 442 Regimental Combat team. Lillian is survived by her children: Harvey (Caroline) Urakawa, Sharlene (Alfred) Castillo, and Rodney (Patsy) Nanbu; grandchildren: Kimi (Chris) Young, Jonathan Urakawa, Marc (Brandi) Castillo, Chrissie Castillo (Matt) McDonald, Brad Castillo, Sarah and Kayla Nanbu; and four great-grand- children. Graced with a kind and generous nature, Lillian will be remembered for her wonderful cooking ability and her willingness to share whatever she had, whether it was fruits from her trees or her freshly baked banana bread. She will be dearly missed. A celebration of her life will be held at Hosoi Mortuary on Sunday, December 10. Visitation at 10:00 am followed by a service at 11:00 am. Aloha attire. No flowers, please

She is predeceased by her husband, Alexander (AJ), and son, Michael. She is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Wallace) Tasaka, Patricia (Henry) Handman, Jennifer (Dennis Putney) Oka, 3 grandchildren, 2 great grandsons. Private Services.

86, of Pearl City passed away on November 18, 2017. Born in Honolulu, he served in the US Coast Guard and was a construction project site superintendent. He is survived by sons Donald Kaipo (Anne), Carlton (Karen), Phillip and Michael (Tina); daughters Dana-Ellyn (Ken) Cazinha, Donna-Lynne (Fred) Funamoto, Dorothy-Ann (Philip) Burton and Nancy (Randal) Sugai; 18 grandkids, 8 great-grandkids. Visitation 8:30 am Saturday, Dec. 9, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Pearl City. Services 10:15 am followed by 11 am Mass. Burial 3 pm at Hawaiian Memorial Park.

82, of Aiea passed away on November 25, 2017 in Aiea surrounded by his family. He was born on January 16, 1935 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was a retired program analyst supervisor for the Navy PWC Pearl Harbor for 42 years. He was also a U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by his wife Mary; sons, Dave (Grace), Derek, and Steve; grandchildren, Ken, Ryan, Erin, and Jacqueline; sister, Alice Morita. Visitation 12 p.m. on Thursday (Dec 7) at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 p.m. Inurnment service on Friday (Dec 8) at 9:30 a.m. at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl. Aloha Attire.
