Susumu “Jimmy” Kiyotoki
95, of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away on July 26, 2017. He was born in Paia, Maui and retired in 1974 from the Navy Pubic Work Center as a pipefitter. Survived by his wife, Bertha, sons, Derrick (Linda) Kiyotoki, Keith (Alison) Kiyotoki); daughters, Sharon (Francis) Okamura, Becky (Lodrigo) Antonio, Leigh Anne Kiyotoki; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Also survived by brother Seichi Kiyotoki, and sisters Kimiyo Maki and Ethel Okinaka. Private services with inurnment to occur at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.
Howard Hisao Matsuura
88, of Honolulu, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 6, 2017. Born in Haiku, Maui, Howard graduated from Maui High School in 1947, served in the Korean War, and retired as a store manager of Ikeda Stores. Preceded in death by wife Kiyomi, he's survived by daughters Phyllis (Mark Teagle) and Cindi Tajima (Joshua) and son Brian (Grace); grandchildren Allyson, Michael, Joelle and Jared; and siblings Ethel Hiraoka, James, Jeanette Chinen, and Alvin. Services will be held at Hosoi Garden Mortuary on Tuesday, August 22, 2017: visitation at 2:00 pm, service at 3:00 pm. Casual attire. No flowers or monetary gifts please.

Shirley Doris Fukumoto
68, passed away July 13th in Las Vegas, Nevada. Survived by husband, Larry Fukumoto; children, Darin, Beth, and Lisa Kimoto; mother, Martha Suzuki; brothers Kenneth (Lawana) and Vernon (Cathy) Suzuki. Shirley was born in Bamberg, Germany, and lived most of her life in Hawaii. Her career journey was in the airline industry, having worked at TWA, Western Airlines, and Delta Airlines. She was adored and loved by many and will surely be missed. Services will be on Friday, August 25th at Hosoi Mortuary at 6pm. Burial will be on Saturday, August 26th at Hawaiian Memorial Park Kaneohe at 11am. Aloha attire.

88, of Honolulu, passed away on July 25, 2017. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. Graduated from Farrington High School, St. Joseph College in Yokohama, Japan and De Forrest Technical Institute in Chicago, Illinois, he was co-owner of Nippon Theater and general manager of Beaver Grill Restaurant. He also worked at Theo Davies, Amfac, the US General Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan and at various TV/movie production companies such as CBS Inc., Universal Studios, Paramount, Walt Disney, Aaron Spelling and Columbia Pictures. He is survived by his wife, Asako; and by his daughter, Grace Furuya. Visitation is at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, August 21, 2017, at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. The service is at 6:00 p.m. Casual attire. No flowers.
