Evelyn retired as a data processing clerk at First Hawaiian Bank. Age 82, of Kaneohe, passed away on November 21, 2019. Born in Kauai, she retired from the Department of Education where she taught at Benjamin Parker Elementary School. She was predeceased by her husband, the late George M. Uyema. She is survived by her children, daughters, Carleen (Todd) Yokotake and Leanne (Mark) Watanabe and son, Alton (Lynne) Uyema; eight grandchildren and sister, June Higa. Visitation from 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2019, at Hosoi Garden Mortuary; celebration of life service 12:00 p.m. Casual attire.

88, of Kaneohe, passed away at home on December 28, 2019. He was born in Honolulu. Toshi retired from Standard Plumbing after a long and happy career. He loved spending time in the ocean, on the golf course and with family and friends. He enjoyed playing softball for many years with the Windward Puohala Makule Club. Toshi also traveled extensively overseas and across the U.S. He served the plumbing community on the PAMCAH board for many years and the Kaneohe baseball community on the Senior and Junior AJA Baseball Boards of Directors. Toshi is survived by his wife, Akiko; sons, Terrance and Randall (Pamela); daughters, Gayle (Dean Lum) and Karen Ferreira (Gilbert). Grandchildren and great- grandchildren: Tyler, Russell (Amanda, Aaliyah, Liam), Cody, Lisa (Flo, Ciana, Olivia), Derek and Taylor. Private services were held. No koden, please.

Served in World War II with the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, Company L. Farrington HS class of 1940. Survived by his son Rodney (Jill), daughter Lynn Reiko (Louis Stelter), grand- daughter Kayla (Jesse Maeda), grandson Reed (Kirsten) and sister Martha Tsuruye Nakamura. Services at Hosoi Garden Mortuary, Wednesday, January 15, 2020. 5:00 p.m. visitation; 6:00 p.m. service. Aloha attire. Flowers welcome.

of Kaunakakai, Molokai passed away on December 11, 2019 in Honolulu at the age of 86. She was born and raised in Honolulu, and moved to Molokai after she got married. She graduated from Kaimuki High School then obtained a bachelor's degree in nursing from Washington State College. She is survived by her husband, Tom, and daughters: Denise (Wayne), Jodi (Lloyd), Sheryl (Sammy), Stacey (Shawn), Rene (Jon); 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, & numerous nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at 4:30 p.m. at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Additional Molokai service will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mitchell Pauole Center. NO MONETARY OFFERINGS.
